Old peasant house majorera, built in local volcanic stone and wood, dating back to the early nineteenth century.

Family business, created at the time by Tinín Martínez and Zaragoza Estévez. They bought the house in ruins in 1999, with more than 200 years old and rebuilt it to open it to the public in 2002. Already in 2012, with the incorporation of the new generation of hoteliers, it was given a professional approach, taking care of the details and the original family atmosphere.

On the Juan Bello Site, payment of Villaverde, municipality of La Oliva, is the first rural hotel in the north of Fuerteventura, and second on the island.

MAHOH is the oldest known name of Fuerteventura, a Guanche word that means “My land, my country”, but this is not the only reason, there is also another sentimental reason to have taken this name as the identity of the Rural hotel.

For more than 30 years it has been the name of an environmental defense group at the extreme of the natural conservation of the island, whose president is Tinín Martínez, and who along with his wife Zaragoza Estévez are the current owners of the Juan Bello Site.
